Giving information on the condition of anonymity, a senior Biden administration official said that US President Joe Biden has sought to make India as well as Japan and Germany permanent members of the UN Security Council. The senior official said that in view of the global scenario, a lot more work needs to be done on the members of the Security Council. In response to a question, he said that we still believe that India, Japan and Germany should be permanent members of the Security Council.
