Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse may star Tom Holland

Spider-Man is the events of “No Way Home” in late 2021, the status of Tom Holland’s role as the Web-Slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been shrouded in mystery. There is, in fact, already production underway on a fourth Spider-Man movie to be directed by Tom Holland, but there is currently no estimated release date for the film.

On the other hand, if a recent rumour is to be believed, we won’t have to wait much longer before we see Holland pop up in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Furthermore, the manner in which he’ll purportedly appear in the film sounds crazy.

The first film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will follow Shameik Moore’s character as he travels across the multiverse, meeting both familiar faces and brand new characters along the way.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, was released in 2018 and depicted Spider-heroes from different dimensions being forcibly thrown into Miles Morales’ home dimension. After being asked if Tom Holland’s Peter Parker was one of the Spider-Men who could show up in the sequel, Chris Miller, a co-writer and executive producer on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, teased that “anything is possible in the multiverse” three months prior to the release of this piece of information.

Holland does appear in Across the Spider-Verse, it will be the sixth time he has played Spider-Man, and it will be the first time he has done so in a project that is not associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). There is no doubt that an appearance of this magnitude will not be officially confirmed until the film is actually released.
