Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) is Lorraine Martin’s granddaughter and Natalie Martin and Mr. Martin’s daughter. Her parents divorced after a tough marriage. Lydia is close to her mother and frequently visits her. Stiles Stilinski, Scott McCall, and Malia Tate are her best friends at Beacon Hills High School. When Allison Argent moves to town, she is the first to befriend her.

Lydia’s character is introduced in the series as a foolish and unpleasant girl, resembling the traditional impolite high school female. However, as the episode progresses, it is shown that Lydia is actually brilliant with a higher IQ and behaves like a fool to get her way. She conceals her intelligence on purpose in order to attain her goals. When she is bitten by Peter Hale, an Alpha Werewolf, her axis shifts. While anyone in that situation would turn into a Werewolf, Lydia remains unaffected. Instead, the bite activated her Banshee’s inner powers. Lydia received these abilities from her grandma Lorraine.

Peter first manipulates Lydia’s reveal of her powers, and it takes Lydia some time to gain control and grasp the scope and degree of her powers because they are more difficult to control. Lydia’s power has only grown exponentially since then, to the point where her screams may physically kill. Clairaudience, premonitions (particularly of someone’s death), and entering a trance-like state to receive and transcribe information are also among her abilities. Lydia, however, does not have the capacity to heal like other Supernaturals because she is mortal.

Lydia, on the other hand, has matured and developed to the point where she now assists other victims of the uncanny, much like herself.

From January 26, ‘Teen Wolf: The Movie’ will be available exclusively on Paramount Plus.
