After his snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner is getting better and is looking forward with hope.
The 52-year-old actor posted a picture of himself in bed Saturday morning on Instagram. It looked like he was getting physical therapy.
In the caption of his Instagram image, Renner explained, “Morning workouts and New Year’s resolutions have all altered this year…. Motivated by a loss that I had to absorb for the sake of my entire family, and quickly turned into a way to bring people together through actionable love.”

Then, the Mayor of Kingstown star said, “I want to thank EVERYONE for their kind words and messages to my family and me…. Lots of love and thanks to you all.”
“These 30 or more broken bones will heal and get stronger, just as the love and connection with family and friends grow,” Renner said in the end.”I hope you all have love and happiness.
Renner was taken by helicopter to a local hospital on January 1 after he was hit by a “very large piece of snow removal equipment” that he owns. After the accident, his representatives and Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said that it happened as he was clearing his driveway and helping his neighbor clear snow after a big snowfall in the area.
A statement from his rep said that the star had “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” and the next day he had emergency surgery.
This month, a person close to Renner told PEOPLE that even though the actor is getting better, he has “a long way to go” before he is fully healthy again.
“Jeremy is making good progress,” the source said, echoing what Renner’s sister Kym told PEOPLE, who said that the Avengers star was “crushing all progress goals.”
Renner’s most recent Instagram post came after he went home to Nevada for the first time since his accident earlier this week.
Late on Monday night, Renner replied to a tweet from the official Mayor of Kingstown account about the second season premiere of the show. The actor said in a tweet that he could watch the new episode of his Paramount+ show from the comfort of his own home.
Despite my cognitive fog while recovering, I was quite pleased to see episode 201 with my family at home, as Renner posted on Twitter.
Earlier on Monday, Renner posted a photo to his Instagram Story that showed a snowy scene at what seemed to be his home in the Reno area of Nevada. There was a lot of snow on snowbanks, roofs, and trees in the area.
“Home is the one place I miss more than anything…” This caption, written by Renner, appears to have been penned just hours before he was discharged from the hospital.
